The basic objective of The 9th Regiment of Foot is to recreate the history of the American Revolution as seen through the British perspective. In so doing we hope to educate the public and ourselves to many concepts and misconceptions regarding the reasons why the war was fought . In our portrayal of the British in the American Revolution we strive to be period correct, accurate and authentic as possible. We are a full member unit of the British Brigade.
We participate in Living History events, battle reenactments and tacticals. Our Objectives are: To recreate and perpetuate the 18th Century military history of the American Revolution. To educate the public through lectures, displays and participation in events and programs depicting the role of the British Army in the American Revolution To reasearch, preserve and reproduce 18th Century practices, culture, dress and articles as used during the War of the Rebellion (American Revolution). To honor those who bravely fought for what they believed in during this trying period of time.
Our Company's goal is authenticity, education and a satisfying form of recreation. |
